Nottingham Forest’s interest in Léo Ortiz continues to make headlines in Brazil, with local journalist Fabrício Lopes reporting that the English club is still monitoring the Flamengo defender.

We covered the initial story from BolaVip a few days ago. However, the player himself is said to be unsure about whether moving now would be the right step, given that his current deal with the Rio side runs until the end of 2028.

According to the report, Flamengo have made their stance clear: they would only consider selling Ortiz for a substantial offer, one that allows them to replace him with a player of equal or higher quality.

The club have reportedly turned down a bid worth around £17.5 million (€20 million) from a Turkish side back in September, and another close to £15 million (€17 million) from RB Leipzig.

The Nottingham Forest interest isn’t the only one revived in recent weeks. Another local source added that Juventus are also reportedly monitoring the situation, especially as Bremer could depart in the upcoming windows. The Italian side had previously shown interest and may return to the table if they need a replacement for the Brazilian centre-back.

In addition to protecting Ortiz, Flamengo are also planning new deals for Léo Pereira and striker Pedro, aiming to keep key figures safe from European approaches by offering salary adjustments and extended contracts.

Ortiz’s hesitation over a move reportedly stems from concerns about visibility with the Brazilian national team. With the 2026 World Cup approaching, the defender fears that joining a club outside Europe’s elite could harm his chances of getting on the plane to North America.
