Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Juventus’ Federico Gatti in the last few weeks and Nottingham Forest have now also emerged as a candidate.
The Italian has played 28 times in Serie A this season and with his contract running out in the summer of 2026, the centre-back is attracting attention.
Gazzetta dello Sport report today there is a basic agreement for Gatti’s new deal and this will make sure that he stays in Turin until 2030. But the newspaper also state that everyone at Juventus has a price and this means that Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are keeping an eye on the defender’s situation.
Juve would not reject the possibility of earning a capital gain from Gatti’s sale and the report claims that Nottingham Forest and Newcastle would have to pay around €30m to sign the Italy international.
This will make a sale inevitable for the Bianconeri, who will struggle to reject an offer of that kind, even if Gatti signs a new contract at the Old Lady.
This means that the ex-Frosinone player’s situation is far from secure and potential suitors still have a chance of landing him.
