Nottingham Forest are interested in Argentine striker Alejo Veliz, according to claims today.
The information is revealed by the Italian media, where Gianluca Di Marzio shares a story about the race for the 19-year-old.
The piece is mostly focused on AC Milan’s interest. It’s said the Rossoneri recently held a meeting with the player’s agent and an offer will possibly be made in the coming days.
It’s then pointed out that the Serie A giants aren’t the only ones fighting for Veliz. Torino already presented a bid which was considered too low, and Nottingham Forest are also competing.
Regarding the Tricky Trees, it’s said the club ‘initiated contacts’ to bring the striker to the Premier League.
Rosario Central’s initial demand is said to be €15m, which is the amount of his release clause. Still, according to Di Marzio, they can end up selling him for a ‘slightly lower’ figure.
It’s still unclear how much Milan and Nottingham Forest would put on the table to sign Veliz, so that’s a tough race to predict for now.
Featuring for Rosario Central this season, the youngster had 11 goals and one assist in 23 appearances so far. He’s also part of Argentina’s U-20 squad, taking part in the U-20 World Cup this year.
