Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in another Brazilian youngster.
According to SBT journalist Lucas Pedrosa, the Reds have now turned their attention to Santos centre-forward Deivid Washington.
As previously claimed by the same reporter, Nottingham Forest failed in their chase for Botafogo striker Matheus Nascimento, as even though the Brazilian club accepted their bid, the player was not on board with the operation.
Now Pedrosa claims that the Tricky Trees have an eye on Deivid Washington, even though they are still to place an official bid for him. The story highlights that the Santos youngster has received offers from AS Monaco and other European clubs recently.
The 18-year-old only has 15 appearances for the first team and is still to be considered ready for a starting role, so Nottingham Forest would be going for a prospect rather than the finished article.
Santos recently concluded the signing of midfielder João Lucas from Monaco, and reports from Brazil claimed that during the negotiations, the French club asked for the priority over Deivid Washington. So that may be something the City Ground side will need to fight against.
A bigger problem could be securing a work permit for the player.
