Nottingham Forest’s interest in Adrián Liso is not a problem for Real Zaragoza and instead something for the Spanish side to be very happy about.
That’s according to El Periodico de Aragon and journalist Sergio Perez, who cover the situation today and how it should be considered a positive by the Spanish side.
He states that the fact a club with the economic potential of Nottingham Forest have their eyes on Liso is not something that has ‘any negative aspect’ for Real Zaragoza.
On the contrary, his belief is that having ‘rough diamonds’ of Liso’s calibre in the squad is ‘magnificent’ and the fact Nottingham Forest and others are watching him is only a sign of how good he is.
He believes that the only thing the Spanish side should be focused on is providing adequate management to the club to continue its growth and achieving their high objective.
Interest in Liso is nothing new as Nottingham Forest have been keen for a while and Getafe even offered just over €4m for 60% of his rights this summer. That was rejected, with Zaragoza referring to the €15m release clause in his contract.
Of course, Forest are not Getafe and are ‘much more powerful’ from a financial point of view. They could easily pay that €15m if they wished to and the Spanish side need to be aware of that fact.
The fact that a Premier League side have their ‘eyes set’ on the player is not something that has any negatives for Zaragoza, though. In fact, having a rough diamond like Liso is just ‘magnificent’ according to Perez, and should be seen as such.
