Earlier this week, Corriere dello Sport reported that Nottingham Forest would need €35m to land Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi.

This came after Gianluca Di Marzio confidently reported interest from the Premier League club in the Italian. The journalist stated contact had been made for the midfielder, who has fallen short of game time at the Nerazzurri.

Inter Milan initially wanted Dan Ndoye as part of the transfer. The player moved from Bologna to Nottingham Forest during the summer window, much to the frustration of many in Italy.

Napoli had been trying to sign him, and there was surprise he’d rejected Antonio Conte’s side for the English club. Since then, multiple Serie A sides have looked at bringing him back to Italy.

However, Nottingham Forest rejected Inter Milan’s Ndoye plan. Despite that, a move to the City Ground is not dead for Frattesi.

L’Interista report contacts between his entourage and Nottingham Forest have been constant. They are also likely to continue, with Sean Dyche’s side aiming to close the deal this month.

The ‘next few days’ are likely to be key, with the 26-year-old currently keen on a move to England. There was interest from Galatasaray not too long ago but nothing has moved in that direction.

Nottingham Forest have a chance

That is why Nottingham Forest still have a chance, even if no offer is on Inter’s table yet.

L’Interista further claim that Frattesi expects to be part of Inter’s squad, regardless of his uncertain future. This won’t impact a possible exit this month.

SportWitness can confirm this information, with the Midlands club having approached the midfielder’s entourage. Similar to what L’Interista suggest, work is ongoing to possibly iron out an agreement.

Juventus had previously come forward for him but that option has slowly faded away. Newcastle United tried to land him in the summer, however, they are currently in the background rather than pushing for a deal.
