Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca over the past week and there is now an indication that they are looking at another player from Serie A.

Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo has reported that the player in question is AC Milan’s Alexis Saelemakers, who is currently on loan at AS Roma.

The versatile winger, who began the season as a full-back at AC Milan, is currently valued at no less than €25m to €30m by the Rossoneri, and Nottingham Forest had knocked on the Italian giants’ door in January.

Leicester City and West Ham had also done the same but the Tricky Trees have now ‘returned to the charge’ for the player. They have made contact with the Belgian’s entourage for a potential summer move.

Longo believes that Nottingham Forest will provide serious competition to Roma for the 25-year-old, and their possible presence in the Champions League next season could be a big help.

Roma do not have an option to buy Saelemakers permanently and as a result, they would have to set up fresh talks with the Rossoneri. This can hand Nuno Espirito Santo’s side a chance of landing the versatile player.
