Nottingham Forest have stepped up their interest in Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi before deadline day.

That’s according to Gianluca di Marzio. The journalist reports that Nottingham Forest have made an offer to Inter Milan for the midfielder.

According to his information, the midfielder’s final approval is pending. Nottingham Forest have made an offer to loan him until the end of the season. But they are yet to receive permission from the Italian midfielder to press ahead.

Forest have been pursuing the midfielder for most of January as they look to strengthen Sean Dyche’s side this month.

The midfielder has been linked with a move away from Inter this month after falling down the pecking order this season. He wants to be playing regularly ahead of the World Cup, with his chances of going to that currently slim.

A loan deal would be ideal, and Nottingham Forest have been working to convince him on it. A report earlier this week stated that they were a more likely destination than anywhere else.

They’ve now submitted a new loan bid for him. Seemingly, though, they haven’t convinced the midfielder as yet. What that will take, remains to be seen.

As we’ve previously stated, Frattesi appears to accept that he needs to move, but doesn’t appear to be actually willing to go to the effort to sort out a move. Given Nottingham Forest are the only ones asking, his agent may need to have a word.
