Among the players Aitor Karanka signed in the summer was Panagiotis Tachtsidis.
He joined the Championship side a year after he signed for Olympiacos in 2017 and since arriving in England, the defensive midfielder has struggled to make a single appearance in any competition.
Despite his current situation with the Reds, the Greece international has managed to attract a suitor from Serie B, Lecce, according to journalist Alfredo Pedulla.
It’s not the first time Pedulla is reporting about the former Torino man as on December 20th, he claimed that there is total desire from the player to return to Italy and contacts have already started for the deal to take shape.
Now it’s reported that Nottingham Forest have given the ‘green light’ for Tachtsidis to make a switch to Lecce and the medical visit has already been scheduled.
Tachtsidis still has 18 months left on his contract at City Ground and Alfredo Pedulla does not mention if it is a loan move or a permanent transfer.
