Nottingham Forest will receive €14-18m for Moussa Niakhaté, who is set to complete a move to Lyon.
That’s according to Taggat, who say a deal has been agreed for a fee of €14-18m including bonuses for the centre back.
Reports earlier today indicated that Nottingham Forest were closing in on an agreement to sell Niakhaté to Lyon before the end of this month.
The belief is that they need a sale to help ease PSR issues at the club and Niakhaté could be one sale to aid towards them avoiding any further sanctions after being deducted points already.
Taggat now pick up on that and explain that the deal will be worth somewhere from €14-18m including bonuses.
They add that the Nottingham Forest defender will be in Lyon tomorrow to undergo his medical and, if that is completed without any problems, sign a four-year deal at the French club.
That will bring an end to a two year stay at Forest for Niakhaté, who joined them in a €10m deal from FSV Mainz in July 2022 and mean a return to France, where he started his career with LOSC Lille’s youth team.
