Signing late in the January transfer window to offer Sabri Lamouchi a bit more depth up front, Nuno Da Costa never quite fit in at Nottingham Forest.
He’s played, making 13 appearances in all competitions since his arrival, but he hasn’t had the desired impact, notching just one assist in his time there during a 1-1 draw away to Preston last July.
He’s only managed one league start since the beginning of the current campaign, and it appears the Cape Verde international will be sent elsewhere before the end of the transfer window.
That’s according to French journalist Manu Lonjon, who took to Twitter to explain Da Costa was ‘close to (Royal Excel) Mouscron’ in Belgium.

There’s little other detail, so we don’t know if the move is a permanent one or just a loan to give the 29-year-old the game time he wouldn’t be getting at City Ground on a regular basis.
Either way, Lonjon has a decent track record when it comes to these types of, let’s call them lower profile, reports, so it’s one worth keeping an eye on as the day goes on.
