According to a claim in the Greek media, Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest are set to go head to head to sign Troyes defender Kiki Kouyate.

The Greek giants have been long linked with a move for the 22 year old, but Sportime now report Nottingham Forest are also interested in signing the player.

It’s reported that he could cost around €3m and the Erythrolefki are hoping to conclude a deal ahead of Nottingham Forest.

Forest will be looking to bolster their squad in the summer, and it seems the youngster is an option.

In recent years, Olympiacos have made successful purchases from France’s Ligue 2, such as Pape Abou Cisse and Mady Camara, and Kouyate could be in line to join the club if they manage to beat Nottingham Forest.

The Mali international has made 19 appearances for Troyes this season, scoring an impressive six goals.

His contract with the French side will expire at the end of June 2022.
