It appears that Nottingham Forest aren’t going to have an easy time signing Giovanni Reyna from Borussia Dortmund.
Earlier on Wednesday, we covered a claim from Germany that the Tricky Trees had reached a total verbal agreement with the USA international for a move, and they were hard at work trying to get a deal done.
However, Nottingham Forest aren’t the only ones after him, as Marseille are also doing their best to get a deal over the line, according to Gianluca Di Marzio on his website.
The journalist explains that the Ligue 1 side are in an ‘advanced negotiation’ to sign the forward from Dortmund, who has struggled to get game time under Edin Terzic this season.
The 21-year-old totals just 337 minutes of football in the current campaign in all competitions, which has led to suggestions he could move away from Germany to get game time.
Nottingham Forest were reportedly working on a loan, and it’s likely Marseille are doing the same, although the post from Gianluca Di Marzio provides few details other than the Ligue 1 side are ‘close’ to his arrival.
That would suggestion the Tricky Trees are losing this race, but it’s never over until it’s over.
