Arvin Appiah has had a remarkably varied career, especially considering he’s only 23-year-of-age. He’s gone from being a promise at Nottingham Forest and being linked with a move to Manchester United to witnessing endless loans and lowering levels.
It doesn’t seem to be getting any better. After spending a season with the Forest first-team following his stint with the club’s academy, Appiah was sold to Almeria. This was followed by loan stints at Lugo, Tenerife and Malaga.
Last season, he was on loan at Rotherham United and as per Diario de Almeria, a new move is on the way for the former England youth international.
He will join CD Nacional, a team from Madeira and playing in Portugal’s second division, on loan from Almeria and that will be his fifth consecutive loan stint.
In his last four loan stints, he’s scored only one goal. That is a fair reflection of how his career has fallen off .
Diario de Almeria state Manchester United had tried to sign the player in 2019 and Nottingham Forest were fighting to keep him, so there was happiness at Almeria over winning the battle.
That move hasn’t worked out for anyone involved.
