Nottingham Forest are interested in Salernitana midfielder Lassana Coulibaly, according to reports from the Italian media.
Newspaper Il Mattino (via Salernitana News) today writes that the Reds already got in touch with the player’s agent and ‘asked for information’ about a move.
The Serie A side were reportedly told about Nottingham Forest’s contact, and are now wondering about what to do with that.
The story claims that Salernitana value Coulibaly at €8m, and ‘if the right offer arrives’ then the transfer should be ‘lightning fast’ so they can also find a replacement for him in the January transfer window.
It’s pointed out that Nottingham Forest aren’t the only club who are interested in the midfielder, since French clubs had been following the player and ‘remain vigilant’ to him. So the Reds might need to place a convincing bid in order to win that competition.
Coulibaly joined Salernitana just last year, on a free move from Ligue 1 side Angers, and has been a very important piece for the Serie A side this season, with 17 appearances already.
He has a contract with them until 2026.
