Lorenzo Lucca has struggled to make an impact at Napoli this season.
The striker, who joined from Udinese, is now emerging as an important target for Nottingham Forest.
The Italian champions signed the player on a loan with an obligation to buy. He’s played only 386 minutes in Serie A, last starting a league game back in October.
Lucca has featured in only 40 minutes since the start of November, which is quite alarming. Ahead of the World Cup, the forward will want to play more and interest in him is growing.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports Nottingham Forest have sought information about signing the 25-year-old ‘in the last few hours’. Those in charge of transfers at the Premier League club are following the player’s situation closely.
Tricky one for Nottingham Forest

Benfica are also interested, with Lucca’s future currently a key issue for Napoli.
Nottingham Forest’s move is likely to hinge mainly on what the player wants. There is a chance he chooses to prove himself under Antonio Conte but a loan exit is also a possibility. There is no mention of a permanent deal, as things stand.
Napoli have not signed Lucca permanently from Udinese yet. That is why the deal is not easy to pull off. Even if it does go through, it could take some time to progress.
