Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United are being edged out of the race for Marseille winger Luis Henrique, with Bayern Munich and Inter Milan now leading the charge.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that the Premier League duo have work on their hands if they are to get the Brazilian winger this summer.

They explain that Henrique’s nine goals and seven assists in 30 games this season for the Phocian club has attracted attention from numerous suitors, including Nottingham Forest and Newcastle.

They’re joined by Inter Milan and Bayern Munich but now find themselves being edged out by those sides, who met in the Champions League quarterfinals this week.

It’s explained that Inter and Bayern are now ‘the most interested’ in the Marseille star and the Italians are even eyeing a €24m plus €4m offer for him. Bayern, meanwhile, also like him a lot and contact with his entourage has already taken place.

The battle between the pair has only just started but Foot Mercato make it clear it now appears to be between those two, with Nottingham Forest and Newcastle being pushed to one side.
