Leeds have ‘no intention’ of selling Wilfried Gnonto this summer and nothing will convince them otherwise.

That’s according to Corriere della Sera who state that ‘nothing will change Leeds’ mind’ on the matter despite regular bids coming in for him.

The newspaper explains that Gnonto has refused to train with the rest of his teammates and is currently training alone and out of contention.

The Italian has made it clear he wants to leave as he wants to be playing regularly at the highest level so that he can guarantee himself a place in Italy’s squad for the Euros next year.

He has suitors in the Premier League and is pushing to get the move he wants, refusing to train with his teammates or ‘reunite’ with them.

The player’s stance would seemingly make a departure inevitable but that is not the case and Leeds ‘have no intention’ of letting him go. They are ‘betting’ on him for the future and seemingly pinning their hopes on him firing them out of the Championship.

Nothing will change their mind on the matter, indicating that regardless of what fee is offered, they will continue to reject them.

That’s a risky strategy given the player’s stance on the matter, but clearly those in charge at Elland Road believe they can turn things around in their favour and keep Gnonto this summer.
