As returns go in the Tottenham dugout, Antonio Conte will have wanted anything other than a 4-1 loss to Leicester at the weekend.
Spurs were dismantled by the Foxes, and this just a few days ahead of the London side facing Milan in the Champions League.
This is now a match up of two teams struggling for form in their respective domestic leagues, and one the Italian media are worried about.
There is certainly an anticipation of Conte returning to Italy with Tottenham after his prior success in the league at Juventus and Inter, and Luca Antonini, who has faced the London side in the Champions League in the past, believes the recent loss in the league against Leicester isn’t exactly what Milan will have wanted.
Speaking to Tuttosport, relayed by Milan News 24, he said: “Tottenham arrive from the KO against Leicester. Not good news for Milan: I’m convinced that Conte won’t have given his players a good time. Tottenham will arrive at 300mph. The main dangers? The collective. It’s going to be a tough game.”
As things stand, Milan are fifth in Serie A after 22 games, 18 points behind leaders Napoli, despite winning the league last year.
Over at Tottenham’s end, the recent loss has left Spurs fifth in the Premier League, 12 points behind leaders and local rivals Arsenal despite having played two extra games.
