Inter Milan are keeping close tabs on Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri for next summer.
That’s according to InterLive.it, who explain why it’ll ‘not be easy at all’ for the Serie A side to snatch the 17-year-old away from Arsenal.
The attacking midfielder, who made his first team debut in 2022, has made four appearances for Arsenal this season.
Simone Inzaghi’s side are looking to sign young prospects that can make a difference, for a reasonable price. The Arsenal player is included in the list, and the report focuses on him.
The Nerazzurri are of the belief the England U19 international can ‘conquer’ the European football in the future. At this moment in time, Mikel Arteta’s side have ‘decided to focus on him’.
Therefore, it won’t be easy for the Serie A winners or any other club to take Nwaneri away from Arsenal for an affordable price. The report states the Gunners youngster is valued at €15m, but an additional €5-10m would be needed to try and close the deal.
Despite Arsenal’s stance, the Italian champions could continue to follow him. The report adds it’s not excluded for Inter president and CEO Giuseppe Marotta to contact Nwaneri for a deal in 2025.
Inter will still have to find a way to convince Arsenal, which won’t be easy.
