Antonín Kinský has struggled for a prominent role since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Slavia Prague in January 2024. Given the goalkeeper is just 22-years-of-age, that’s not really a surprise.

Despite his young age for a stopper, he’s played 12 matches and two of them were under Thomas Frank this season. Both were in the EFL Cup as the manager has favoured Guglielmo Vicario ahead of the Czech in the Premier League.

Kinský’s situation at Tottenham hasn’t gone unnoticed and he’s already attracting interest.

On January 5th, Sabah reported Beşiktaş have identified the stopper as one of two options for the winter market.

At the weekend, inFotbal.cz stated Wolverhampton Wanderers had made an approach to sign him on loan. Spurs are ready to sanction a move as long as the club covers the 22-year-old’s full salary.

Another outlet, iSport.cz, looks at the Czech players currently in the Premier League. This includes Kinský, Wolves’ Ladislav Krejčí, Burnley goalkeeper Václav Hladký and West Ham United’s Tomáš Souček.

The latter three clubs are currently in the relegation zone. The Hammers are 18th, a point ahead of Burnley, seven ahead of bottom placed Wolves and seven behind 17th placed Nottingham Forest.

If these three clubs are relegated from the top flight, the Spurs player would be the only Czech left in the Premier League.

Tottenham player will look for minutes

Former Czech defender Karel Tvaroh is now an expert for Canal + Sport. He’s talked about the stopper’s situation at Tottenham.

Tvaroh feels his compatriot will continue at the north London beyond this window but isn’t certain.

“It’s a big club, they play in the Champions League, but not a good atmosphere there. Tonda came in a very turbulent period and currently he is clearly second choice, but that may change with the arrival of a new coach,” he said.

“I think he is quite patient and will last at Spurs until the summer. If he stays in the Premier League, I see a 50/50 chance, whether he will stay in Tottenham or maybe get more space in another team. But he will definitely go after the greatest possible workload.”

Tottenham have won seven of their 21 Premier League matches this season. They sit 14th in the table, eight points behind fourth placed Liverpool.
