Over the weekend, we first saw the Brazilian media reporting Norwich City’s interest in Corinthians striker Giovane.

It was said the Canaries have sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old, and are now one of the clubs who have been following his first steps at his club.

Now Norwich City’s chase gets backed up by journalist Jorge Nicola, who, on his Youtube channel, also has information about this interest.

The reporter points out that despite being on the verge of relegation to the Championship, the Canaries are ‘always attentive’ to South American talents, and are said to have the competition from an unnamed French club for this signing.

Giovane actually belongs to Capivariano, a small Brazilian club, and Corinthians have the right to buy him for £500k.

Even though they asked for a discount, that was not given, as everyone knows he could end up leaving for more if signed by foreign clubs.

The striker excelled at the U-20 Copa São Paulo this year, and that’s where he drew attention from Norwich and other European sides.

Now he’s focused on conquering his place in the first team.
