Norwich City are soon making the arrival of Gabriel Sara transfer official.

Sport Witness has learned that the São Paulo midfielder is leaving Brazil to complete the move on Wednesday. Once he lands in England, he’s having his medical, sorting bureaucratic issues and signing his contract with the Canaries.

The transfer is expected be announced jointly by Norwich City and the Brazilian club on Saturday, or if all the process happens faster than expected, could be done earlier for Friday.

Gabriel Sara suffered an ankle injury at the end of April and underwent surgery in early May.

Besides preparing his move out of his country, he also spent the past few days working hard on his final days of treatment with São Paulo’s doctors, before finalising the recovery with the Canaries’ staff.

According to reports from the Brazilian media, Norwich City are paying £12m for the transfer, including bonuses.

The midfielder has always dreamed of featuring in the Premier League, and now feels like the move to the Championship is an important step to achieve that objective.
