Norwich City are looking to improve Philippe Clement’s attack in the winter market and have identified a few targets.
On January 20th, the Danish media reported the Canaries made an offer to Bodø/Glimt’s Kasper Høgh. A day later, Bodø/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen ruled out his exit in this window.
The Danish press now report Randers FC’s Mohamed Touré has emerged as a late target for Norwich City.
Bold reported on Friday that the Championship side are in talks with Randers over a move for the striker.
Tipsbladet pick up on that and report that the English club have made concrete progress to bring Touré to Carrow Road.
According to them, Norwich City have reached an agreement with the Danish club to buy the Australia international. The fee will rise to €4m with bonuses.
This is ‘almost a record deal’ for Randers. Their current record is €4m from Tammer Bany’s sale to West Bromwich Albion last year.
On Friday, Randers suffered a 1-0 defeat to Rosenborg in a friendly on Friday. The 21-year-old was left out of the squad for this fixture because of Norwich City’s agreement.
Clement’s side and the Superliga side would have sorted out the details of this rapid operation as Tipsbladet report the player is travelling to England on Saturday.
Touré will undergo medical tests with the English club today and then sign the contract. The report makes no mention of the details of the personal terms agreed with Norwich City. Either way, it shouldn’t take long for Norwich City to formalise the attacker’s arrival.
He joined Randers from Stade de Reims in July 2024. The Australian has scored 12 goals and contributed nine assists from 49 matches of which four goals and five assists are from this season.
