Norwich City defender Rocky Bushiri is ‘close’ to joining KAS Eupen, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at KV Mechelen, where he has made six appearances in the league this season.

His last two outings for Mechelen came in their 3-0 loss to Club Brugge in December and in a defeat to Royal Antwerp in October.

Lack of opportunities will see the Canaries owned player change clubs in the winter market. It’s claimed he is now ‘close to a return’ to Eupen.

The centre-back spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Eupen from KV Oostende, and his performances helped him get a move to Norwich City. His return to the club is ‘in the making’, reports HLN.

Gazet van Antwerpen also explain his loan stay at Mechelen will be cut short after the centre-back disappointed in the first half of the season. He’s now ‘on his way’ to Eupen and will join them on a loan deal.

Local newspaper Grenzecho further adds the Norwich player is ‘on the verge’ of returning to his old club after Bushiri ‘completed the medical tests’ on Monday.
