Norwich City are reportedly interested in Palmeiras youngster Vanderlan.
That’s today reported by UOL journalist André Hernan, who claims the Canaries have made the first contact to know the conditions for a deal.
Palmeiras are aware of the possibility of losing the player this summer, as they’re ready to sell him for a good offer.
For now, however, there’s no information on how much Norwich City are willing to pay for the fullback, who’s valued by Transfermarkt at €4m.
Vanderlan is 21 years old, and due to the competition with Joaquin Piquerez, isn’t always a starter at Palmeiras, having made just 13 appearances this year so far.
It’s worth recalling that Norwich City have an open communication channel with the Brazilian club, as last summer they signed Pedro Lima on a loan deal.
The midfielder was signed by the Canaries’ academy, and never made an appearance for the first team, despite his five goals and two assists in 14 appearances for the U-21 squad.
Perhaps that helps Norwich City to make the signing, as long as Lima has good things to tell Vanderlan about the club.
