Norwich City are interested in a move for Flamengo’s Victor Hugo as they seek a replacement for Gabriel Sara.

That’s according to UOL and journalist Bruno Andrade, who both cover Norwich’s interest in the 20-year-old.

UOL report that Norwich are interest in the midfielder and have already been working behind the scenes with Flamengo to reach an agreement on a season-long loan deal.

The Championship side see Hugo as the ideal replacement for Sara, who was recently sold to Galatasaray.

The belief is that there is a deal there to be done as the youngster has been little used by manager Tite so far this season.

Andrade reports similar, stating that talks are going on behind the scenes between the two clubs over an initial loan deal. There is no mention of whether the deal would involve a potential option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

Replacing Sara is presumably now a priority for Norwich given he had established himself as a key player for the Canaries in recent years with 21 goals and 17 assists in 96 games in total.
