Besiktas are currently in talks to sign Milot Rashica from Norwich City, according to reports from Turkey.

On Twitter, journalist Gokmen Ozcan first wrote that the Istanbul side moved after their manager recommended the signing.

Then with an update, the reporter claimed that there’s already been a meeting between Besiktas, Norwich City and Rashica’s camp for the transfer.

It turns out that later on, Sports Digitale journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu showed up to say that the player is ready to make the move.

The 27-year-old is expected in Turkey tonight to have his medical and sign for Besiktas.

So far, none of the journalists said how much this deal will cost, or even if it’s a loan or a permanent deal.

A move to Istanbul is nothing new for Rashica, as he spent last season loaned to Galatasaray.

Signed by Norwich City in a €11m transfer from Werder Bremen in 2021, the player ended up only having one season playing for the Canaries, where he had two goals and three assists in 40 appearances.

Rashica’s contract with the Championship side runs until 2025, and he’s now valued by Transfermarkt at €8.5m.
