Norwich City rest assured. You’re not the only club that Jon Dahl Tomasson has turned down of late.
That’s according to Denmark’s Campo. They report that Norwich aren’t the only side the coach has said no, despite their best efforts.
They explain that Norwich considered Tomasson a ‘serious candidate’ for their vacant managerial position. The Canaries were the hunt for a replacement for Liam Manning, who was sacked last month after seven straight losses.
They made a ‘good start’ to negotiations with Tomasson. He’s free after leaving Sweden. And the interest from Norwich was so great that they offered him the job on Monday. But Tomasson turned down a return to the club and the Championship.
They’re not the only ones to be rejected, though. According to Campo’s information, Tomasson has also turned down to other coaching jobs. In fact, he turned those down before then rejecting Norwich.
Tomasson is looking for a long-term job with ‘development potential’. Apparently, he didn’t see that at Norwich or the other two offers made to him.
A return to England would be ideal, hence why he was willing to talk to Norwich in the first place. For now, though, he’s yet to be convinced by anyone.
