Everton will not be signing FC Union forward Sheraldo Becker on deadline day after the German club elected to block any departure.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who says the Bundesliga side don’t want to sell any more players this month and are instead focused on completing a deal for Isco.
Everton were linked with Becker yesterday as they desperately seek forward additions on the final day of the transfer window.
They have been linked with several around Europe as a result, with Becker thrown into the mix after scoring seven goals and registering four assists in 18 games in the Bundesliga this season.
He has very much been the star man for FC Union this season and Plettenberg reports that it is ‘decided now’ that he will be staying.
There will be ‘no transfer to Everton’ on deadline day as Union have made the decision to keep hold of what they have after selling Julian Ryerson and Genki Haraguchi already this month.
Everton, then, need to turn their attention elsewhere, which may be why they are now being linked with a move for LRC Genk’s Paul Onuachu.
