Over the past few days, claims from the UK have stated Manchester City are preparing a €100m offer to sign Barcelona star Pedri.

Tuesday’s edition of Marca relays that and then shares Barcelona’s stance on Manchester City wanting the midfielder.

The 22-year-old joined the La Liga club from UD Las Palmas in 2020 and developed into one of the key players at the Camp Nou.

Pedri has made 44 appearances this season, managing five goals and seven assists in the process. Back in January, Barcelona extended the Spain international’s contract until 2030.

The renewal hasn’t stopped him from being linked to the Citizens. At this point in time, Barcelona haven’t been notified of the Premier League club’s interest, and there’s every chance it’s been exaggerated.

Marca add the Catalan club also have ‘no record’ of any intention to submit a €100m offer even being suggested.

They do state that Barcelona are ‘not surprised’ that top clubs like Manchester City want him. The Blaugrana feel it’s ‘only natural’ that these clubs are looking at Pedri, who has excelled for club and country.

Manchester City haven’t communicated to Barcelona their interest or offer so far for the player. Barcelona are calm about the whole situation also because they are aware Pedri’s intention is to continue at the Camp Nou.
