As Eintracht Frankfurt chase the signing of Robin Koch from Leeds United, they’ve now been asked about this transfer rumour.
Club director Markus Krosche was on Tuesday interviewed by Sky Sport Deutschland, and was quizzed about a couple of signings they could make.
Regarding the Leeds defender, the Frankfurt director first tried to dodge the question a little.
“I don’t think it makes sense to comment on individual names.”
Then Krosche ended up admitting that Koch is a player to look at, despite claiming there are no talks for now.
“And Robin Koch is also an interesting name – no question about it. But we are still at the beginning and there are still many issues that we want to tackle in the future.”
The reports from the German media regarding Frankfurt’s chase for Roch have actually been pretty strong. Today, we’ve seen local claims saying the Bundesliga side have ‘made progress’ for the signing, and they actually have an agreement with him for the move.
It was said by Frankfurter Rundschau that the club’s idea is to sign the defender on a loan deal, and next year, when his contract with Leeds expires, then they’d land him permanently as a free agent. He’s said to be their ‘desired player’ for the summer, so the talks only tend to get more intense.
