Chelsea are one of the sides interested in Real Betis youngster Jesús Rodríguez, but the Spanish side are not panicking about that yet.

That’s according to AS, who cover the 19-year-old today and Chelsea’s apparent interest in him ahead of the summer transfer window.

They explain that Rodríguez has earned admirers after bursting onto the scene with Betis this season a few months ago, with a notable performance against Jagiellonia this week helping Betis take a firm step towards the Conference League semi finals.

A report in England put Chelsea in the mix, stating that they are closely monitoring him and could move this summer to sign him as a replacement for Jadon Sancho.

Usually this may cause panic but Betis aren’t concerned as they already tied the player to a new deal with a €35m release clause. There is, however, another clause within that deal that will allow them to increase that should an offer arrive. A clause within a clause.

Thus they’re not particularly bothered by Chelsea being interested and are even more comfortable thanks to the player making it clear that there is ‘peace’ on his side too.
