Sunderland‘s Milan Aleksić is on the verge of becoming Fudbalski klub Partizan’s first signing of this summer.

Last September, Sport Witness covered claims from Poland of KS Cracovia’s interest to sign him on loan with an option to buy.

Sunderland sanctioned a loan move to the Polish club, who haven’t made the 20-year-old’s stay permanent.

This is not at all surprising considering he played only 295 minutes from eight matches, contributing two assists.

Therefore, he returns to the Stadium of Light but will be on the move again, this time to Serbia.

New loan move for Sunderland player

That’s according to Mozzart Sport, who report Fudbalski klub Partizan are keen on signing Milan Aleksić.

Their interest isn’t new as the Serbian club wanted a deal last summer, but the attacking midfielder rejected them.

He ended up in Poland and struggled for minutes and that’s likely to happen if he stays at Sunderland next season. Régis Le Bris isn’t considering the Serbia U21 international and therefore, the latter has to find a solution this summer.

Partizan, who failed last summer, are most likely to be his next destination. He spent two years between 2021 and 2023 at their academy and there will be ‘no obstacles’ for his return this year.

The report states the ‘negotiations lasted for months and were successfully brought to an end’.

They first managed to convince the Black Cats man and his entourage to return to Serbia.

Partizan then negotiated a loan agreement with Sunderland on favourable terms. The only thing that’s pending now is whether a purchase clause will be part of the temporary deal.

What’s certain for now, as per Mozzart Sport, is that the youngster will play for his former club next season. The move allows Aleksić to enjoy regular game time, while Partizan secure a young player.
