Franck Kessié has not signed a new contract at AC Milan despite publicly stating in the summer he wants to ‘stay at Milan for life’.

With less than a year left on his current deal, the midfielder’s situation is drawing attention from elsewhere.

Il Milanista say that it’s ‘no mystery’ the 24-year-old has ‘entered the thoughts’ of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.

It’s said the Manchester United target’s refusal to sign a new deal at the San Siro has left Milan chiefs Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara ‘stunned’. Even their supporters are surprised with the player’s behaviour since ‘nobody expected this kind of situation’.

Kessié’s entourage are demanding €7/8m per season [plus bonuses] in wages to sign a new contract. In addition to this, there is no agreement in place between the Serie A side and his agent on commission.

Milan are unwilling to meet the demands made by the player and his camp, and this has been hinted by their chairman, Paolo Scaroni.

“These are choices made above all by Maldini and Gazidis. I am in favour of a relationship between the club and professionals but if they have requests that we cannot bear, we will make other decisions and wish them good luck,” Milan chairman Paolo Scaroni told Radio 24, as relayed by Calciomercato.it.

Scaroni’s comments will give encouragement to Kessié’s suitors like the Red Devils and PSG, and it’s clear a transfer is becoming increasingly likely.
