Earlier this month, TuttoMercatoWeb reported Aston Villa had considered a move for Raoul Bellanova in January, before Torino chairman Urbano Cairo refused to discuss a transfer.

The Premier League side continue to have the 23-year-old on their transfer agenda for the summer.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who state Aston Villa have sent a scout to monitor the right-back.

Bellanova has starred in his debut season for the Serie A side, managing a goal and five assists from 27 games. It was inevitable he’d attract interest from other clubs, after he ‘became literally untouchable’ at the Turin club.

The fullback dreams of representing Italy next month, to test himself ahead of the Euros.

Last summer, Torino technical director Davide Vagnati played a vital role in securing the defender’s services from Cagliari for just €7m. According to Tuttosport, it was a bargain deal, considering he’s currently valued at €20-25m.

Bellanova’s price will rise if he were to continue to shine and make it to the Euros. Aston Villa have been monitoring him and their scouts have been spotted in attendance on more than one occasion.

The report states it’s ‘no mystery’ that Unai Emery’s side are looking for a new right-back fornext season, and have carefully examined the Torino star and Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries.

Although Aston Villa have positive reports on both, Bellanova is four years younger and earns a third of Dumfries’ current salary. Therefore, Tuttosport claim the Italian’s name is ‘more intriguing’ for the Villans.

Having considered signing Bellanova in January, Emery’s side could make another attempt in the summer.
