In case you weren’t aware, Paul Pogba’s contract at Manchester United expires next year.

The Frenchman has long been linked with an exit from Old Trafford, mostly thanks to his agent Mino Raiola, who likes to play a yearly game called ‘let’s unsettle the Red Devils by making big claims in the press’.

This season’s was a rather direct outing, claiming things were ‘over’ between Manchester United and their star midfielder, and yet, here we are, nearly a year later and Pogba remains at the club, having reached a Europa League final and helped his club finish second in the Premier League.

Few clubs can afford his wages, which is partly why no one has really come forward for his services, but one team who could are Paris Saint-Germain.

Born in Lagny-sur-Marne, a small town to the east of Paris, Pogba has a close affinity to the French capital, which would, on paper, make a move to the Ligue 1 runners-up quite enticing.

That being said, there has been no indication Leonardo and Mauricio Pochettino want such a transfer, but that didn’t stop both Presnel Kimpembe, currently at PSG, and Kingsley Coman, at Bayern Munich but previously from the Parisian side, from stirring the pot a bit during an interview with InfoSport+ in France.

The pair were sat down fielding questions when Pogba, who likes to mess around with his teammates, creeps up behind to ask them what they’re talking about.

Kimpembe immediately tells him they’re having a chat about Paris, before Coman reminds the Manchester United star that he’s from that area.

Pogba agrees, before the latter asks him ‘Nasser?’, referring to the Paris Saint-Germain chairman, with the defender immediately following up by saying they’ll be ‘speaking about the transfer window soon’.

That’s when the Manchester United midfielder starts looking a tad uncomfortable, and simply replies ‘No’ before walking off chuckling to himself when Coman wonders if there’s been any ‘contacts’ regarding a transfer to the capital.

All in good fun, as they all burst out laughing, but that could help reassure any members of the Old Trafford faithful who had a worry they could lose the Frenchman to the Ligue 1 side in the summer.
