Earlier today we covered claims from Portugal which explained Manchester City had returned to the table to negotiate with FC Porto for Nico González.

Having seen previous attempts knocked back by the Portuguese club, and with Porto continuing to point to the midfielder’s €60m buyout clause, Manchester City had started contact again.

They didn’t want to trigger the clause but it was thought they’d offer a deal worth €60m when bonuses were included. Not triggering the clause also means that the fee doesn’t have to be paid in one go.

Now there’s widespread claims building that a fee has been agreed for a €60m package, as had been predicted.

Record go over that and say say Nico González is ‘no longer with the team’. Porto are preparing for a match against Rio Ave this evening, and the Spaniard has left the group as his move to Manchester City gets closer.

A Bola report Manchester City have agreed to pay the full €60m and will do so in staged payments, as is usually the case.
