Following Fabio Paratici’s big work at Juventus, there was naturally a big expectation about the signings he’d make at Tottenham Hotspur.

It turned out that in the January transfer window, the London side couldn’t succeed with most of the targets they were linked to, and ended up signing two players from the Old Lady right at the end.

Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur were two footballers who seemed to be close to the exit for from the Bianconeri already, and with Tottenham going for both, there was of course some talk about how easy it was for Paratici to get the transfers from his former club.

So today, as pundit Massimo Giletti was interviewed by Radio 24’s Tutto Convocati, he responded to several questions about Juventus’ transfer window, and there was one regarding the directors’ shopping at the club.

Gietti has denied that Paratici bought either of the players help to the Old Lady, claiming he’d been a fan of those players for a long time.

“No favour from Paratici at Juve, he has always believed in Bentancur and Kulusevski, who’s a difficult player to place. Even Gasperini had difficulties with him,” said Giletti.
