On Monday, Nottingham Forest midfielder Gustavo Scarpa was spotted at Palmeiras’ training ground.
Following the end of the Premier League season, the midfielder returned to his home country and visited his former club to see his old teammates.
Well, needless to say, that was more than enough to make Palmeiras fans excited about a potential comeback, but as journalist Jorge Nicola talks about it, he rules out that move.
On YouTube, it’s said there’s ‘no chance’ Scarpa will leave Nottingham Forest to return to Brazil this summer.
It’s said the midfielder did not have any talks about it with Palmeiras officials, as he’s still fulfilling his dream of playing in Europe.
According to Nicola, Scarpa’s plan is to play in England ‘for at least one or two more seasons’ to try to settle in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old joined Nottingham Forest in January as a free agent, but things haven’t gone great in his first few months.
Amid personal issues and injuries, he only made ten appearances for the Reds, and will try to show more next season.
