On summer deadline day, Manchester United signed Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on a loan deal with an option to buy.
He’s made 17 appearances this season for the Red Devils. On December 21st, TV Play reported the midfielder could return to Italy in January. Three days later, Viola News stated he isn’t happy at Old Trafford.
The possibility of the 27-year-old leaving Manchester United next month has been ruled out if a report from TuttoMercatoWeb is to be believed.
It’s said there is ‘no chance’ of the Morocco international saying goodbye to Erik ten Hag’s side in the winter market.
Morocco manager Walid Regragui has included the Manchester United man in his squad for AFCON. After the tournament, he will return to Old Trafford and remain under Ten Hag’s orders until the end of this season.
TMW state the Premier League side have an option to make his stay permanent. If they were to decide against exercising it, Amrabat will have to return to the Serie A side next summer.
Amrabat seems to have no future at Fiorentina and the two parties would have to look for a solution, if Manchester United don’t extend his stay beyond this season.
Although a January move has been ruled out, the Moroccan’s long-term future still needs to be clarified.
