Inter Milan may have been linked to Chelsea centre-forward Armando Broja for a few months now, with fresh claims from Gazzetta della Sport on Tuesday.
As Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio attended an event today, he was asked whether they’re looking to sign the 22-year-old from the Blues.
Quoted by Calcio Mercato, the Inter Milan chief turned down the rumours, claiming there’s absolutely no interest in the player.
“No, I’m sorry, but that is not true, because we are happy with the strikers we have. I know Broja and I know that he is recovering from a serious injury and has also scored a goal. I hope for him that from Thursday he will be important for the national team. But at Inter there is no chance,” said Ausilio.
Reports linking him with a move to Italy aren’t something new, and it’s actually not only Inter Milan who’d been said to be interested in him, as even their city rivals AC Milan were previously claimed to be keen on the signing.
A potential lack of playing time had been the main reason for those rumours, but judging by the last few games, it seems Broja could find a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea rotation.
