On October 1st, Corriere dello Sport reported Crotone are on a ‘mission’ to sign Watford’s Ignacio Pussetto and it was also explained the agreement for a ‘dry loan’ was not ‘too far’ away.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, ‘there is no agreement’ between the Hornets and the Serie A side for the 24-year-old’s transfer.
It’s claimed the forward can only leave the Championship side on a permanent transfer and Watford are asking for around €8m to let him leave.
Crotone, on the other hand, who remain interested in signing the Argentine, are looking to take him on a loan deal.
TMW claim that if the English club and Crotone fail to find an agreement for Pussetto, then the former are likely to allow him to return to Udinese. This suggests the player’s future is away from Vicarage Road.
Watford signed the South American from Udinese in January and Pussetto made seven league appearances (all from the bench) in the Premier League last season. This term, he has an appearance each in the Championship and the EFL Cup.
