Earlier today, it was reported, as expected, that Bayern Munich bosses were flying to London to sit down with Daniel Levy to continue negotiations with the Tottenham chairman over Harry Kane.
These talks took place, although they weren’t entirely successful, as Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg revealed on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
He explains that despite Tottenham meeting with the Bundesliga side, the German didn’t go there ‘expecting to reach a complete agreement’ regarding the purchase of Harry Kane.
That was never in their plans, as they likely knew it would take more than one more round of talks to crack Levy, and ‘they will return to Munich tonight’.
However, the deal certainly isn’t off, as negotiations are still ‘ongoing’, despite there being ‘no agreement yet’.
Therefore, some remote talks will continue in the next few days and likely weeks to try and find a common ground that suits all parties, with Ange Postecoglou clearly starting to get fed up with all the attention surrounding his star striker at Tottenham.
At this point, the quicker it gets sorted, the better for everyone involved.
