Earlier on Thursday, Sky Sports broke the news that Newcastle had held talks with Paris Saint-Germain’ about their young defender Stanley N’Soki.
They didn’t go into much more detail, but thankfully RMC Sport are here to confirm the story and add their information.
The French outlet explain all Newcastle have done is ‘asked for information’ about N’Soki, who still hasn’t signed his first professional contract with the Ligue 1 champions.
Talks in that department are said to have stalled over the past few weeks, but Paris Saint-Germain remain hopeful to convince him to stay, just like they did with Yacine Adli a few weeks ago.
RMC reveal it was Rafa Benitez who called the French club’s director of football, Antero Henrique, personally about the defender.
Unfortunately, the Portuguese isn’t exactly keen on selling the young prospect, and asked Newcastle for €10m for the last year of N’Soki’s youth contract.
As you can imagine, the Magpies aren’t ready to spend that much on him.
They also aren’t the only ones looking at the youngster, as Marseille and Juventus have also started snooping around.
