Newcastle United defender De-Andre Yedlin will travel to Istanbul tomorrow to sign a deal with Galatasaray.
That’s according to Hurriyet, who say the American right-back is set to move to the Super Lig club and end his time in the North East.
Yedlin’s contract at St James Park expires in the summer, and he has been linked with a move away from the club this month, particularly amid work permit issues.
Galatasaray are keen on his signature and have been pushing for a deal for the last week, with it believed the player is keen on the move.
Hurriyet now say that he is closing in on the move, with the Turkish side expecting him in Istanbul tomorrow to sign his contract.
They say Galatasaray have reached an agreement with the defender and the ‘goal’ is to bring him in from Newcastle this month as opposed to in the summer.
Yedlin is ‘ready’ to make the move, but Galatasaray are struggling to convince Newcastle, who are ‘taking it too slow’ as far as Gala are concerned.
This has left Yedlin ‘uncomfortable’ with the attitude being shown by the Magpies, something he has not hesitated to share with the media.
He is said to have ‘closed’ his time at Newcastle in his head and, having agreed terms with Galatasaray, now ‘expects’ negotiations to be finalised before deadline day on Monday.
