On Thursday morning we covered an article from French newspaper L’Equipe which explained that Newcastle United have an interest in Sebastien Haller.
The 22 year old had previously been linked with Everton, but that track had gone cold. Newcastle are said to have opened some kind of talks over a potential deal with FC Utrecht, trying to find out the conditions for a transfer.
Less positive news comes from the Netherlands on Thursday afternoon, as Voetbal International brings up competition from AS Monaco. That would mean Haller going back to his own country and Ligue 1, but it’s still attractive.
Voetbal International believe that Haller would choose other options over Newcastle saying the player is ‘not very eager’ to join them in the Championship.
Other clubs from the Championship are also said to be interested, and if Voetbal International are right, they have a fight on their hands to convince Haller.
