Federico Chiesa’s future is yet to be defined and despite Juventus pushing him out, no potential suitor has come forward for the Italian.
Newcastle United now seem like an interested party for Chiesa, with the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea also previously mentioned as interested clubs.
TuttoJuve have reported that Newcastle are willing to make an offer for Chiesa. They ‘would propose’ an initial offer of €20m plus bonuses for the Italian and would also offer the player €7m per season.
It’s thought that Miguel Almiron’s exit would help them with the move, and funds from such a sale would put them in an advantageous situation.
Another report from TuttoJuve mentions that Chiesa’s salary request is a bit of an issue, as his demand of €9m per season can only be satisfied by English clubs or sides in Saudi Arabia.
Newcastle’s offer is likely going to be lower than what Chiesa wants but may still be enough.
As time goes on, Cheisea may have to reassess what he can demand, and also whether he can realistically snub clubs like Newcastle United in the hope of a Champions League side.
