The fight for Newcastle United star Bruno Guimarães is today highlighted by Spanish outlet AS.
Their report claims that Barcelona, Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain are all interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder this summer.
The Magpies want to keep the 25-year-old in their squad, and will fight to do so.
AS brings a few details about the chase from each club. It’s said Liverpool could offer €100m for Guimarães, while PSG could put €25m more on the table. Barcelona, as usual, would need to sell many players and make a whole plan to get to something close to the Reds’ bid.
Aware of the interest, Newcastle already want to protect the midfielder with a new contract, and would like to offer him the biggest deal in their club history, making him one of the highest-paid players in the country.
According to the report, Guimarães will only speak to the Magpies after the end of the season, but since his idea is to play in the Champions League, there’s no big reason for him to push for an exit. That’s something Liverpool may have to keep in mind.
