Regional newspaper Olay report Bursaspor may look at other options after negotiations to sign Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saivet stalled.
Earlier this week we covered reports Saivet is a target for Bursaspor and that the club’s new manager Samet Aybaba wants to be reunited with the Newcastle United outcast.
Saivet and Aybaba were both at Sivasspor last season.
Olay say Saivet has demanded €1.2m a season from Bursaspor, but the Turkish club will not meet his demands.
Bursaspor Head of Football Mustafa Er has held talks with Newcastle United over a possible deal for Saivet, but the English club are looking to sell him rather than loan him out again.
According to Olay, Bursaspor’s pursuit for the Newcastle United player now hangs in the balance but the things could change later in the window.
Last season Saivet made 12 appearances whilst on loan with Sivasspor and is contracted to Newcastle United until 2021.
